Seismic Noise Analysis with Low-Cost Variable Gain Recorder

This paper presents the design and implementation of a seismic noise analysis recorder. Specifically, system has three main blocks. A configurable gain amplifier, microcontroller for data acquisition storage, finally, both GPS module real-time clock in order to ensure time synchronization. With regard device management, mobile application was implemented which provides users with tools analyze real as well configure operational parameters (i.e., sampling frequency, amplifier recording start time). Regarding architecture evaluation set experiments were designed determine intrinsic equipment verifying proper operation on continuous system. Finally, results thoroughly analyzed temporal frequency domain respect captured certified commercial equipment. The comparison carried out reveals percentage error maximum 7.68% 3.40% analysis, respectively. Consequently, proposed represents reliable solution low-cost alternative contributes data.
